Stress!

Liya was always been very happy to go to daycare, until a few days ago. If she was still asleep, my call "Liya, don't you want to go to daycare?" would make her jump out from bed. Couple of weeks before when I said "it's Thursday, you've to go to school" she replied "No it's Wednesday...". I thought she is in deep sleep and didn't want to getup hence just finding an excuse. But sooner I realized that it's something more than just an excuse. Lying in the bed, she shouted "No.. No I won't go, today is Wednesday..."
She turned very grumpy and just wanted me to agree that it's Wednesday. Finally J had to start to office without her. Now the duty to drop her falls on me. I said many stories and some promises to get her moving, but no avail. She kept repeating that "Today is Wednesday...". After long tries, I was able to get her ready and when we were just entering her school, she told: "Momma I love Lily and Myla so much"... "Why not Morgan and Sebastian?"- I asked. This is what she replied "Morgan and Sebastian went somewhere..."

So that was the issue. Morgan and Sebastian were her best friends. She was very comfortable with them that she keeps imagining Morgan is around in our house too. If I give her some food, she would tell me "Momma, Morgan is hungry too. Please give her some..." I never knew that kids at this age make very close relationships and they are very choosy about friends too. Though she plays with all 10 friends, she was very choosy about both of them.

I spoke to her teacher and she told "yes, both of them have moved into next class." She also told me how close three of them were and Liya will be moving up in June and she can reunite with them..:)

That was the reason why Liya didn't want to go to daycare. She is not yet out from that 'stress'. Every Monday she says it's Sunday and every Thursday she says it's Wednesday. She is missing her friends badly. But I am very much helpless.

By the way I didn't understand why are they moving Liya in June. She would be completing 2.5 years by 11 Apr and why don't they move her right away? Why are they waiting till June?  Ms A had once told me they won't move just one kids alone but at least 2-3 of them together. But I can feel the changes in Liya and how much she is sad about missing her friends. She doesn't have much friends here, so at this age, I would prefer her to get going with everyone she is comfortable with. Looks like I need to talk to her teachers in detail. What do you say?
