Sick child, Mom and Dad!
That's it. That was everything happened in last week. We all three fell ill one after another. J brought it from Masjid, Pappa's clinging girl BOUGHT it and GIFTED to mom. It was such an ordeal, all three falling ill together in Ramadan! It was Liya's first ever fever session and was sort of scary. She went up to a temperature of 105 F! Tylenol did not work anymore. We took her to Doc and he asked to give ibuprofen and Tylenol alternatively and confirmed it is a viral fever and might take some days to come down.
Alhamdulillah, We all are feeling better now. I am so proud of Liya, the way she handled the situation was much unexpected from a toddler. No howls or hassles. She slept throughout when she was having high fever, played with her toys whenever her temp dropped. At times, she was clinging onto me, but that's pretty obvious when a child is sick.
Reading Club:
We are resuming our reading sessions along with Rainbow, but slightly different from how we were doing earlier. Instead of picking a particular book and reading it along, we are gonna stick to a theme, pick any book around the theme and will share with you every Wednesday, Insha Allah. It's been so much fun reading along with him!
Like sister Salma mentioned in her post, I have had the same experiences from our nearest libraries. Few months ago, in a sale at West Seneca library, 12 board books were costing $1. Unfortunately I reached late for the sale that I got only 4 books. The pricing was little higher in Buffalo Central library book sale, 25 cents for a book *still very cheaper* and we bought few books. So, don't forget to check out the book sale timetables at your nearest library.

Ramadan:
We are on the last 10 days of Ramadan, the 10 days which signify salvation and one of these nights the Quran was revealed to mankind. In these 10 days, we increase our worships and good deeds as much as we can. Only 6 more days are left in the Holy Month- Insha Allah!
I am so happy that eveyone is well again.
ReplyDeleteLots of changes, but it looks like Liya truly is a strong girl, mashaAllah.
Big hugs for you Liya.
