Liya's first Ramdan, even though she doesn't fast.. :)

Ramdan, the holy month has started few days back.

**********************************************************************
"Ramdan is the 9th month of Islamic Calender (Hijra Calender), and is the month in which the first verses of the Holy Qur'an were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. It is the month of fasting, in which muslims round the globe refrain from eating and drinking from dawn until sunset. Fasting is intended to teach Muslims about patience, humility, and spirituality. Muslims offer more prayer than usual, pray for guidance and help in refraining from everyday evils, ask forgiveness for past sins, increase charity etc."

This is my first ever holy month with lil Liya. I get back home (from work) by 4 pm and that is when she rushes to my hands and roll over my body. I love cooking few Malabar items for Iftar (breaking the fast), which my maid doesn't know.

If I plan to experiment some delicious malabar recipes, Liya used to have few slightly different plans, and doesn't let me enter kitchen. If I do any other work she patiently waits and watches. But in the kitchen she wants to see what I do. Many times, she 'helped' me in cutting vegetables, making pan cakes for spring rolls, and often she mess up with the flour or dough I keep aside to make Cutlets or Samosas.

At night, we do long prayers (namaz called Tharaveeh) and that is her playing time. She crawls through the prayer rug, pushes her pappa's hair when he is in Sujood (Prostration) and does tons of other naughty stuffs.

She is kinda of amazed by long prayers and changed food plans/timings. Also, she is happy that her Pappa is getting back home earlier than usual.
