Half way through Ramadan

How fast days are flying by! We have already finished 15 days of fasting, that means half part of the blessed month has gone behind the curtains.
* I am not denying the fact that the first few days of fasting were tougher. Nursing, work and longer hours of fasting was kinda of exhausting. Every evening I suffered from bad headache, as well. But Allah, the Merciful has showered his blessings in the form of RAIN.
It's been raining heavily here for last few days, I no longer feel tired. Alhamdulillah *Thank God*. In fact, I don't even feel that I am not eating or drinking.

* The glad news is that we are able to make it in to Masjid for Tharaweeh prayers. We were unable to in the initial 5 days, as Ishaa prayer was at 9.45pm. But, later I found out that at ISNF, the Isha Prayer is at 10.00 pm. Hence we are participating in it everyday and we get back home by 11.30 pm.

* I am proud of Liya, she loves going to Masjid too. She never troubles me, she prays for some time, then she watches kids playing over there. Occasionally, she plays with them, laughs and utters too. :) Still, she remains as the calm and quiet girl through the hours, therefore many sisters love her and kiss on  her hands.
When Imaam (the one who leads the prayer), recites Quran verses, Liya sings twinkle, twinkle little star.. or hush little baby... loudly * that is embarrassing.*

* Weekends, we join for Iftar party at the Masjid. Having grown up in a village of diverse India, everything I see in West is a new learning for me.  I was amazed to see almost 400 people, who are otherwise busy with their own life and profession, united for prayers and iftar, and not only finding quality time to spend in spiritual way but are wholeheartedly participating in charity too.

* Thank God, I am able to nurse Liya, even though not very frequently during day time. She is eating well, but her time table has gone for a toss. She loves Iftar time because there will be some interesting eatables around.
* Ramadan Reminder to my friends in Islam - pay your Zakat.  *Zakat is an obligation on every practicing Muslim, that an individual has to donate a certain proportion of wealth each year to charitable causes. It is a mandatory process in order to physically and spiritually purify their yearly earnings that are over and above what is required to provide the essential needs of a person or family.*
